Hey guys!!

Today I’ll be sharing my favourite lip balms with you (and one that I really hated!!)

First up is Vaseline. All of the vaseline lip products are great but my favourite is the rosy lips one. It has a slight pink tint so it looks really pretty and moisturises really well. It also smells really nice but if you don’t like rose scents it isn’t for you!! This is my everyday, go-to lip balm. The only downside is the fact that it comes in a big tin. You get your fingers messy and it can be hard to find room for it if you have a small bag!

Next up is Labello. Cherry Kiss is the only one I’ve tried but I’ve loved it for years. It has a dark pink tint so it’s like a low fuss lipstick. The smell is amasing but again, if you don’t like cherry… I really like the stick format and it glides on really well. It’s also ridiculously cheap!

Next is MAC Tendertones. I did a review previously on these (at least I think i did!!) They are only available in some of the summer collections so they can be hard to get. They also cost quite a lot. They are really smooth and the colours are very pretty but sheer. Nice for everyday wear.

Next up is Carmex. I bought this when I had really dry chapped lips. It’s not hugely expensive and it is really effective. I usually use this at night as the formula is quite waxy feeling. I’ve only tried the original flavour. It has a hint of menthol so it feels quite cooling when you apply it. The smell is really sweet but has no specific scent. Definitely good for a chapped lip emergency.

Lastly we come to the Korres Mandarin Lip Butter Stick. I absolutely hated this!! I could taste the chemicals in it (yuck), the colour stuck to my chapped lips and emphasised them and it wasn’t moisturising at all. I had to apply it every 10 mins for my lips to be relieved. I was really disappointed as I had heard a lot of good things about this company and I was expecting a great product. I just could not recommend these to anybody!!! The colour selection was ok but they were a little pricy.

These are my favourite (and least favourite) lip balms. Let me know what your favourites are as I’m always looking for new ones!!!!

Talk to you again soon!!!

Hey guys!!! I’m finally back. Life got in the way for quite a while!!! I had to study to get back into college (which I succeeded in), then I had so much college work to do that I had very little time to do anything. Plus I got a boyfriend and he takes up a lot of my time. Anyway, I have a little break before I go on work experience so I have time to do some more blogging and hopefully vlogging!

On to the review!!!

This is the Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief gel cream. It can be used as a moisturiser or as a face mask.

Texture: Thick gel formula

Smell: Unscented but has a light natural fragrance that is barely noticable

Price: Very expensive – currently €43.50 in Debenhams for 50ml.

Skin type: Any

My Opinion It works really well. When I first put it on my skin didn’t feel moisturised at all (it actually felt a little dry) but after about half an hour my skin was soft, smooth and felt really fresh. It took a few minutes to absorb so it shouldn’t be used if you’re in a hurry. I used it after a clay mask so my skin was rather dry when I applied it. I didn’t wash my face before bed and my skin still felt moisturised the following morning (and I had slept for about 10 hours so it was quite a while). Definitely long lasting. I would also like to add that I normally have an oily T-zone and even the next morning my skin was still matt! Also you only need a really small amount to cover the entire face so the tub should last quite a long time. It didn’t cause me any breakouts and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

Recommended: Definitely if you can afford it. (I got it as a trial size when I bought a few other things from the company)

Final Thoughts: It’s not a product I would use on an everyday basis purely because it is so expensive. I would use this weekly as a moisture boost after a long week or a night out and your skin needs a pick me up. My skin looked and felt really healthy after using it. A really nice treat for your skin!!

Alternative Products: The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Mask – costs about €17. Not quite as good but a good alternative for a significantly cheaper price.

Ok so I really love LUSH products but I hadn’t been using them lately! Then I started using some of the things I got around Christmas last year and I’m really loving them!!

First is Glogg which is a really nice shower gel! It smells like mulled wine and is really nice to use on cold wet days (which we’ve been having a lot of!!).

Next is Once a Year massage bar!! This is one of my favourite massage bars (which is why I bought a few of them!!) It has 2 parts to it :

1. The pink part. This part is really sweet smelling with a little bit of spicyness!!

2. The cream part. This part is a bit like vanilla and is full of sparkles for a little bit of festive cheer!!

I’m really loving this early intro to Christmas and now I’m really excited to see this years LUSH christmas stock!!

Hey guys!!!

So, I woke up this morning and went into the bathroom as per normal. However!!!! When I looked in the mirror my entire  face was red and I had a pile of pimples all over my face!!! I looked completely horrific!!!

So the first thing I did was rinse my face to try to get some of whatever it was that caused it off of my face. Then I took a leaf out of Bubzbeauty’s book and got myself a handful of dry oats to cleanse with. She said she did that when she had an allergic reaction so I decided there was no harm in it!! See her video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7e5_RVBwNjE

My skin felt really good afterwards. It was really soft and  the oatmeal really relieved the itchiness!!!! Then I applied some Eu Roma Water from LUSH and some cucumber water from Kuan Yuan Lian (an Asian company). This really helped to sooth my skin and reduced the redness!!

The cucumber water is very good for burned skin and that’s what my skin looked like so I gave it a go and it worked really well. I applied it regularly!! I haven’t done this yet since I’ve only been up for about an hour  but I’m going to make some oat milk to use on my skin aswell and I’ll keep it in the fridge so that it’s nice an refreshing!! It’s really easy to make. All you need is a handful of oats soaked in water for about half an hour and then strain out the oats!! (Oats can be saved for a body exfoliator later). I also need to moisturise so I need to look around the house for something gentle and preferably unscented!!

Unfortunately all of this means that, once again, I can’t make a video for my youtube channel. Hopefully my skin will be better later in the day and I might be able to make a small one!!!

Bye for now!!

Nel!

Ps. I think it was the clenser I tried out yesterday that caused the reaction. It was the Neutrogena grapefruit cleanser.
